My mom loved that song! She loved The Sound Of Music movie it comes from too. While driving a few days ago it came on the radio (not sure why it is considered a Christmas song) and made me smile and tear up a bit, remembering mom. It inspired me to write a post about my favorite things. Here are some of mine:
- My kids and their families!
- Baby feet. I just think they are the cutest things!
- Scented candles
- A good, mushy love story novel
- Hallmark sappy Christmas movies
- Long stretches and snuggling back up when you first wake up without the help of the alarm clock.
- The color pink
- Popcorn – without all the butter and yuck on it, just straight up popcorn. The best is cooked on the stove top in canola oil then very lightly salted.
- Yarn – the yarn aisle at Hobby Lobby and Michael’s calls to me.
- Coffee. Usually just black but during the holidays I like flavored creamers.
- Brach’s candy corn. It is the best brand. Probably one of my all time favorite candies.
- Social media – even though I have to wade through so much stuff I still love it.
- Pinterest on which I pin hundreds of great ideas that I will likely never get to try.
- Fuzzy socks
- Hello Kitty anything
- Black cats
- Naps
- Christmas time
- Summer
- Amazon Prime – because I hate to shop
- Crocheting things
- Getting mail that isn’t a bill!
These are just scratching the surface and in no particular order. Just a few things on my favorites list!
