Some Wednesdays I devote a blog to whining. Despite being a really happy, positive person, I do have things that annoy me at times. I never let anything grate on my nerves for long but thought it would be fun to vent them periodically in my blogs. I also feel that good things, the cheese in life, should be acknowledged as well. I’m even going to throw in a bit of dessert, a piece of virtual chocolate, something that made me laugh or smile just a bit more than normal. If you’d like to read the past editions of Wine & Cheese just search past postings. Sit back and join me now for a serving of some whine and cheese!

WINE WHINE
😦 Nothing is quite as annoying as a hole in the toe of your sock. Part way through my shift today things felt sketchy in my shoe around my big toe. Sliding off the sneaker I discovered a hole, one my big toe had discovered and exited through. The rest of the day I periodically had to kick off the shoe and adjust the sock. Said little piggy sack is now in the trash and the other in a drawer of mismatched ones that I can wear because no one sees them anyway.
😦 My FireStick is awesome…and annoying. Seems the cord has a short in it and that is disturbing when trying to watch something sometimes.
😦 I’ve gone weeks without walking into the bathroom in my hallway and thinking, “this is where mom died”. But that thought is now ever present again. This grief business is just no fun! Just when things are rolling along okay, BAM!! T-boned by emotion and tears. The fact that Monday is her birthday isn’t helping much. 131 days have passed, and sometimes it seem like just yesterday. 😦
CHEESE POPCORN
🙂 I am going with popcorn because that is what I happen to be eating at the moment. I am also drinking a glass of wine. On my healthy eating plan? NOPE. But tomorrow I’ll be making healthier choices again. This was a choice to eat not so healthy.
🙂 The sock? Well I don’t really care, as it came from Dollar Tree. 3 pair for $1 and has lasted 4 months through wear and tear at work, and me walking around without shoes 99% of the time when I’m not at work.
🙂 Got my first God’s Glory Box yesterday, what a great surprise in my mailbox! Yes, it was expected but I didn’t know when it would arrive and the contents were pretty cool.
🙂 My office is beginning to fill up with fun cards and cute notes from my snail-mail gal-pals. It is so nice to open my mailbox and find something other than a bill or mail for my mom (the later causes twinges of pain, a reminder she isn’t here). These fun mail items are the highlight of my day when I get them! I’m SO thankful I started this and will gladly open it up to others who would like to send notes and cards periodically, old school style instead of on social media.
