Ebola, A Nurse’s Perspective

I think everyone should read this!!!


So a few months ago the country was enthralled with the idea of a few patients, infected with the Ebola virus, coming to the United States. Up until this point, we had been safe from Ebola due to the fact that bats can’t fly over the Atlantic. Some people were completely indifferent, while others had seen Outbreak one too many times. Most were a healthy mix, somewhere in between, but what bothered me the most was both the lack of education and the poor information that was spreading more virulently than the virus could ever hope to.

  1. a very well done and informative article. I get that this is simply the author’s perspective, and by no means the absolute authority on the matter. It’s a scary thing to think that this dreadful disease is now in the USA. I don’t believe we have had any confirmed cases in Canada yet. There was a suspected case; but I believe it was cleared. All I can think of is that movie Outbreak with Dustin Hoffman and how that virus mutated to being Airborne!!! it’s scary stuff for sure.
