Wine & Cheese ~ 80th Serving

wine n cheeseWelcome to Wine & Cheese, my weekly, Wednesday whine session.

Every week on Wednesday I devote a blog to whining. Despite being a really happy, positive person, I do have things that annoy me at times.

I never let anything grate on my nerves for long but thought it would be fun to vent them periodically in my blogs.

I also feel that good things, the cheese in life, should be acknowledged as well.

I’m even going to throw in a bit of dessert, a piece of virtual chocolate, something that made me laugh or smile just a bit more than normal.

If you’d like to read the past editions of Wine & Cheese just click HERE for all of the past postings.

Sit back and join me now for the 80th serving of some wine and cheese!

😦  This cold really does have to go.  I say it in the summer, I won’t complain about heat and humidity.  I prefer it to cold.  And I’m going to be very thankful when it arrives!  My A/C in my car is out and I didn’t mind one bit last summer, bring it!

😦  I got out of work late today.  I went in because I really needed to put my hands on various things in the office so I had to pray and try to start the car.  It cooperated.  Once there, I had issues in the parking lot.  It is totally iced over and my car is rear wheel drive.  Of course, the guys with the 4-wheel drive had the same issues.  Ice Capades in the cars, not fun!

😦  My day was packed with things to do and even more tomorrow and Friday.  Not bad, being busy in our industry is a good thing, just really swamped.  Hoping to be back on top of the mountain by end of day Friday.

🙂  We are so busy at work!!!! Yes I know, I whined, but it is a good thing too because we make money when busy and the days fly by!  I love seeing things be successful, and I love my job.

🙂  I’m now home with all my critters, ‘spa’ channel on the music, and a caramel cappuccino to warm me up.  Only thing that would make this better is my Knight, who had to work late himself.

🙂  I spoke with my assigned rep with a publishing company about my non-fiction and fictional books I want to work on.   We discussed at length the outline for my non-fiction and how fast I could pull it together.  They felt the story I want to tell would be a very good book and sent me a publishing agreement and details on royalties etc.  Just a tad overwhelmed with it and unsure yet what I will do.  Self publishing is inexpensive but to go with a publisher means they market etc.  Bit of an expense for me but if the book sold well I’d make that back and more.  Oh decisions, decisions.  Meanwhile I’ll just keep writing it and see where I decide to go with it.

🙂  Time for my nightly cup of Sleepy Time Extra tea, my blanket and my jammies.  I need my bed!

Not sure who wrote it but it’s making the way around Facebook, and is too funny not to share:

  1. that poem would fit Ontario, Canada too! The snow has been coming down all day. I have a feeling the groundhog will see his shadow tomorrow.
How exciting about your book! I have no idea either about self publishing vs. a company. I don’t have any money for either probably! that might be a bit of a problem. But, I will keep writing nonetheless.
