My answers:
1. June 26th is Forgiveness Day – will you be participating? Forgiving someone else or asking for forgiveness?
Forgiveness is a choice and a process. Certainly there are folks I have opted to forgive and some days (today is no exception) I need to remind myself that the past is just that, PASSED, let it go and move on. I wish them only good things and have learned to even pray for nothing but good to come their way. Beyond that, it is between them and their Maker.
2. Do you play card games? Which ones are your favorite?
This is interesting considering my son recently polled his Facebook followers in search of Euchre players. I joke that my marriage nearly ended in divorce when the ex-hubs tried to teach me to play, it didn’t end well. He is not the best instructor and my brain simply could not wrap around it. Funny thing is, however, I love playing Rook, which is so similar to Euchre that one would think I could pick it up.
3. What is your favorite flavor of Birthday Cake?
The kind full of calories, fat, sugar and real bakery icing. Not the whipped kind, but the kind that is so sweet it almost makes your teeth hurt! Or REAL butter cream icing. In other words, there is no particular flavor that is above any other when it comes to birthday cake, as long as it is GOOD.
4. Do you like amusement park rides? What is your favorite? If not, why not?
That would be a huge NO! I am deathly afraid of heights, do not care for going upside down, and if you spin me in a circle I’ll hurl up the entire contents of my digestive track from my stomach to my arse! I’m a pure waste of money when it comes to going to the amusement park.
And now, the bonus question for readers to answer in the comments:
5. If you could start any business (and be assured success) what would you chose to start and why?
At this point in my life, I think that I would want to start a genealogy-related business, such as doing the research for people, or helping them to write their memoirs. I love family history!
Photography would be nice, too, but my eyesight is weakening, so it isn’t something that I could be assured of doing for very much longer.
Judy mentioned a book shop. I think that would be loads of fun, too!
Have a great day!
i would start a travel agency and/or a party planning business.
I would love to have a book shop. I could read all day and meet interesting people as well as make some money.
I always forgive people…..it’s forgetting that is the tough part. Once I know you’ve wronged me, it’s hard to trust again. and sometimes, even though you hold no malice or hate in your heart, you just can’t go back. My mom always makes me Angel Food Cake with a lemon glaze icing. So good….and it’s so light you can have 2nds. or 3rds. But chocolate is always good too. My family are big euchre players. there are always several games going on when we get together.
I think I would love to try my hand at interior decorating. Or landscaping. I do know quite a bit about gardening already, but it would be cool to combine it with interior knowledge also. I could design outdoor spaces! that would be cool.
A few years back, I had dreams of starting my own preschool. I never followed through, but I think I would have enjoyed it.
A small restaurant or bakery sounds like fun. It’s probably harder than it looks but it’s something I’ve always thought would be a great idea for a business.
