Wine & Cheese ~ 67th Serving

wine n cheeseWelcome to Wine & Cheese, my weekly, Wednesday whine session.

Every week on Wednesday I devote a blog to whining. Despite being a really happy, positive person, I do have things that annoy me at times.

I never let anything grate on my nerves for long but thought it would be fun to vent them periodically in my blogs.

I also feel that good things, the cheese in life, should be acknowledged as well.

I’m even going to throw in a bit of dessert, a piece of virtual chocolate, something that made me laugh or smile just a bit more than normal.

If you’d like to read the past editions of Wine & Cheese just click HERE for all of the past postings.

Sit back and join me now for the 67th serving of some wine and cheese!

WINE

😦  The A/C at work is still not fixed.  Today it is beyond steamy in here and SO humid. I will need a shower before I can get within 20 feet of my Knight.

😦  I am not a fan of storms, and there is a chance of some strong ones tonight after midnight.  I’m not as bad as my sister, who literally gets under her bed during storms, but close.  But bad storms can equal some excellent contracts for us at work.  We live for fire, water and serious wind damage.  I’m so torn.

😦  Fruit flies suck.  Monday when I arrived at the office, I noticed a trash can that wasn’t emptied last week.  When I moved it, a swarm of fruit flies emerged. SIGH…2 days later they are mostly gone, except for a few rogue little fliers that are driving me bonkers.

CHEESE

🙂  I had such a busy, long day yesterday.  When I arrived home I was greeted with the most amazing smells.  The Knight had made breaded pork chops, mashed potatoes and a killer salad for dinner.  And it tasted equally wonderful, OMG was it good!!!!  I am so blessed to have been found by such a wonderful man.

🙂  I was a bit worried that all the great eating and ice cream at night was going to impact the scale, but nope!  While it is now creeping downward, it is still on the down so that is cool.

🙂  I am getting a dog!!!  Not only did The Knight allow my cats to join me when I moved in, but he is allowing me to take my daughter’s dog!  Adorable little Penny, the yorkie. She spent a weekend with us and his kids liked her too, so she is relocating to become a Kentucky girl like me!  Tell me this man is not amazing! He hasn’t even met my baby girl and is willing to have this doggie as a house mate.  Even her daddy, who adores his daughter, wasn’t willing to keep her precious pooch.  I just love this man!  Nothing short of wonderful!

🙂  I gave my Knight a special ring tone and text tone.  When my phone goes off with the alert of a text from him, I get all warm and fuzzy.  Waking in the night to discover him there, next to me, is just awesome.  Yeah, totally head-over-heels in love.  🙂  I am so blessed!

  1. We had such a bad windy storm the other night, it blew our gazebo onto the neighbours roof. there we were in the dark and pouring rain for hours trying to get it back down! thank goodness there was no great damage to the house. the poor gazebo is a little worse for wear, but intact.
and then hubby let me sleep in late the next morning because I got so wet and cold that I ended up feeling sick.
