Here are the Questions:

1. Who was the last person you said ‘I love you to?’
2. What was the last non-kid friendly movie you saw?
3. When was the last time you got angry about something that you felt silly about later?
4. Where is your favorite object at this moment?

And don’t forget to answer the 5th question in the comment section if you are visiting!

1. Who was the last person you said ‘I love you to?’

My daughter when I ran into her while out shopping this weekend.  She thought I went into a store in a strip mall as she was pulling in so she tried to stalk me.  Finally she gave up and called my cell phone only to find out I was in an adjacent store.  We ended up at the same nail salon later.

2. What was the last non-kid friendly movie you saw?

I honestly have NO idea. I am not much of one for going to movies.  I enjoyed taking my granddaughter to see one but I haven’t gone for myself in a long time.  Mostly I am into several TV shows, like The Walking Dead, which are not, in my opinion, kid friendly.

3. When was the last time you got angry about something that you felt silly about later?

WOW that would be hard to say too. Anymore I don’t get angry often, and if I do it is over legit issues.  I just get annoyed and that is usually over something silly.  Recently I was annoyed with myself for reaching out to a former friend who does nails at her house (most likely illegally as I am pretty certain she hasn’t kept up her continuing ed to keep her license and I am also pretty sure you cannot do nails out of your house).  I know her husband is working 2 jobs to keep them afloat in this crap economy and thought maybe she could use the money.  She was, without a doubt, the best nail tech I know of, but she turned me down despite it being a nice sum of money (I checked the going rate in some of the high end salons) I was willing to pay.  Later I was annoyed for even asking, knowing that I’d be subject to sitting in her kitchen listening to her bad-mouth people while doing my nails.  She is the “queen” of drama stirring, gossip and back stabbing.  I’ve since found a great tech and was irritated with myself for offering good money to someone who has done nothing but fabricate lies about me since she has met me, and I have the ‘knife wounds’ in my own back to prove it.  I have a soft spot for idiots, fools, and losers.

4. Where is your favorite object at this moment?

My new Kindle Fire HD. My last Kindle was in my backpack on a road trip aboard a friend’s Harley, and we were unaware it and our helmets (we only wear them in helmet states – as frankly at 65+mph if you lay that bike down a helmet is not going to likely save your life, only contain all the brain matter until it is poured on a coroner’s table), had become detached on the highway somewhere around Louisville, Kentucky.  I’ve missed my Kindle very much, and while waiting to save up for a new one, they came out with the Fire HD version.  OMG I am in a very close relationship with this thing now.  Last night I sat up watching season 1 of Downton Abbey, as I kept hearing of so many watching it that I wanted to see what all of the fuss was about.  HOLY MOTHER OF OUTSTANDING shows!  PBS Masterpiece Theater Classics always rock and this is no exception.  I have several seasons to catch up on but it is worth it.  Oh, and I also have a huge list of books re-loaded now and going with me everywhere I roam, as I have so much reading to catch up on!

*****BONUS QUESTION for those hopping by to answer here in the comments:******

5.  What are 3 modern conveniences that you cannot imagine living without?

The microwave – I am learning what that is like, as ours first became possessed (ran when you opened the door so you had to grab fast to catch your coffee cup handle as it spun past), then just died altogether. I’m so missing my popcorn!!!

The coffee maker – We have a Bunn home coffee maker and it is the total bomb. Makes a full pot in less than 3 minutes.  We also have a Keurig, which is about the best machine to be manufactured since….well ever!  We are rarely without a pot of coffee on in this house, we’re a bunch of caffeine addicts.

Smart phone – I LOVE my phone.   Currently I have the Galaxy SIII and it is sweet.  My daughter, the former iPhone junkie, jumped ship and went to the Galaxy SIII and loves it way more than she did her iPhone so when it was time for me to upgrade I bought the same phone.  I love the communication abilities it affords me.  I can do a good portion of my job via my phone as it is really a small computer that we can use to make a phone call.  Not only texting but Skype with folks so I can see them while talking, I can watch Netflix movies on it…the darn thing is just amazing!  Smart Phones are the best!!!!!  If you have one, regardless of which one, you know what I mean!

  1. Actually the more I am around, the more I can live without many of the modern conveniences. For instance, I have no desire nor need for a smart phone. Thanks for participating in the MQAM – see you again next week.

  2. I’ve seen Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Skyfall and The Hobbit in 3 D in the past 2 weeks! That’s more movies than the previous 2 years combined! The only one kids might be able to go see in that list is The Hobbit. In fact, my 8 year old son was very mad we didn’t take him. Um….that’s not a date boy! 🙂
Definitely want to see both The Walking Dead and Downton Abbey! I think I’ll catch up over the summer.
My 3 conveniences would probably be my iPhone, iPod and last but not least…the Holy Grail of coffee: my Keurig!

  3. I’ve been catching up on Downton Abbey, too! I love it! Now, as for 3 modern conveniences I’d hate to be without–my washing machine, my computer, and the microwave.

  4. Hmm…Wouldn’t want to live without my Nook, My laptop and my Keurig brewer. (For me the phone is the first modern “convenience” I’d get rid of!)
