Welcome to Wine & Cheese, my weekly, Wednesday whine session.
Every week on Wednesday I devote a blog to whining. Despite being a really happy, positive person, I do have things that annoy me at times.
I never let anything grate on my nerves for long but thought it would be fun to vent them periodically in my blogs.
I also feel that good things, the cheese in life, should be acknowledged as well.
I’m even going to throw in a bit of dessert, a piece of virtual chocolate, something that made me laugh or smile just a bit more than normal.

Sit back and join me now for the 22nd serving of some wine and cheese!

WINE
Microwave Popcorn
While I admit I love the stuff, my all time favorite snack-crack, I have a few things to whine about. For starters, there is either a bunch left unpopped, or it is a brick of charcoal in the middle. There doesn’t seem to be a happy middle ground, it is one extreme or the other and all dictated by plus or minus 10 lousy seconds on the timer. And then there is the smell..the OH SO wonderful aroma that cannot be resisted. One Diva pops some and pretty soon everyone has to make it because it is driving us all nuts, calling our name via our noses. And of course the kernels that get stuck in gums and teeth. There is always that one that, long after brushing your teeth, when you are laying in bed, makes itself known. You cannot fall asleep because now you are using your tongue to play with it and try to loosen it, then a finger nail, and to no avail. You cannot leave it alone no matter how hard you try, before you finally have to get up and go floss or tooth pick it out. Assuming of course that you can find these items when you need them. But that is for a different Wednesday.
Dust
Common household dust. What gives with this stuff? Pledge, dust cloth, or one of those static charged fancy thingies in hand, I can clean my room to a nice, dust free shine only to be able to write my name on surfaces a few days later. Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall, cats or no cats, no matter where I have ever lived, I’m plagued by dust!
Line Plants
This one just bugs the snot out of me. I see it all of the time when shopping at the grocery store. You scout out the line that appears to have the least wait time, get in it behind someone that has a small number of items, and next thing you know they strike. When they are up to the register, or one away from next, they wave in the air to someone across several check out lanes who shows up with a cart full and says “excuse me, I’m with them”. Makes me want to take my cart and start bouncing it off their heels, none too gently! Pick a line and get in it, like I did. Don’t plant folks in different ones then all rush to the first one open, that is just wrong.
CHEESE
Coconut M&Ms are totally the coolest PMS fix of late for me. I was skeptical to say the least but brave. Heck I figured I recently tried goat, so why not a new kind of M&M? OMG I was so glad I did. Too bad they are limited edition, these are the best M&Ms yet!
Kindles are totally the coolest things going. I used to get a hard time in the marital residence for all of the books I owned, and it was quite a lot I admit. I love to read and some you just have to own. Well thanks to my very wonderful children (LOVE YOU GUYS) I am now able to carry the entire collection of books in my purse, car, hand…wherever! I LOVE my Kindle and highly recommend them. In it’s case it feels just like a book, so I still have the feeling of reading one, but better!
Foursquare Mayorships are a blast for me. I joined Foursquare unsure if I’d ever use it, and if anything I probably abuse it. Case in point, I ‘check-in’ to my bed at night. So does my sister to her bed, referred to as “The Sandman’s Headquarters”. Fun was stealing the Mayorship from her last night. This has her a bit creeped out that I am now mayor of her bed. LOLOLOL! She’ll have to steal it back I suppose. At last check I was mayor of 16 locations around town!
